CORE PROGRAMSGirls Center & Boys Center Girls Center & Boys CenterDesigned for: Ages 11 to 18 At Girls Center & Boys Center, we use individual and group problem-solving techniques as a foundation for therapy, helping children and teens work together to resolve difficult feelings, overcome problems and reach goals. Unlike traditional youth centers, we offer an array of treatments that help children and teens overcome problems and develop skills that promote success: Academics Learning CenterDesigned for: Ages 11 to 17 The Learning Center is a day treatment program for young people who face challenges in school, the community or at home. The program is held six days a week and incorporates academics, therapies and confidence-building exercises. With several locations in metropolitan Detroit, the Learning Center cares for children from throughout the community. Participants are referred by their schools or the court. The ultimate goal of the program is to counter challenging behaviors early so children can focus on building a bright future. Weekend ProgramDesigned for: Ages 11 to 17 The Weekend Program is an experience-oriented event in which children with minor behavioral challenges spend three days as residents at Crossroads for Youth. The program enables children to benefit from a weekend of therapies, confidence-building exercises and more. The ultimate goal of the program is to help children overcome obstacles early and plan for a brighter future. Life Preparation CenterDesigned for: Young men age 15 to 18 Life Preparation Center is a life skills program that helps young men experience success as a result of their own hard work and effort. It provides a mixture of academics, daily living skills and job preparation, forming a therapy program that promotes achievement. Achievement CenterDesigned for: Boys age 15 to 18 The Achievement Center is a four and one half month residential program. We provide a positive, supportive environment and an array of leading-edge treatments that help young men develop inner discipline and personal strength. The program integrates the effective features of a military-style program with a strong therapeutic and educational model. STRIDEDesigned for: Participants from age 11 to 17 STRIDE stands for Short Term Rapid Intervention and Diversion Effort. It's a two-day program designed for young men and women who have violated their probation. The program immerses children in a weekend of programs aimed at countering challenging behaviors. STRIDE is one of the only programs of its kind in Michigan.
