Make a Child's Dream Come True

Crossroads for Youth’s Camp Adventure is proud to be a featured charity in this year’s Summer Dreams campaign sponsored by the Detroit Free Press and The Skillman Foundation. Every year, the program makes hundreds of dreams come true for local non-profit organizations and Detroit-area children and teens by raising money for summer camps.

The Skillman Foundation matches Summer Dreams donations 100 percent on a first-come, first-served basis, so early donations are important. Donations can be made online with a credit card beginning May 10 at www.freep.com/summerdreams. Or make checks and money orders payable to “Children First” with “Crossroads for Youth – Camp Adventure” on the memo line. Fill out the response form attached here and mail to: Children First, P.O. Box 640702, Detroit, MI 48264-0702. Make sure you check out the special Summer Dreams section in the Detroit Free Press on Sunday, May 9.

Camp Adventure offers a truly unique opportunity for children and teens. They experience the beauty of our 320-acre campus with a 50-acre lake, four miles of hiking trails, and state-of-the-art activities. Summer Dreams contributions pay for much-needed camp items.

Help CFY Plant its Garden!

Crossroads for Youth is looking for groups or individuals who would like to help in our agency garden this summer. Every year, volunteers from Daimler Financial Services come out in force to work with our kids to prepare and plant the agency's garden. Won't you join us? This year, we will plant potatoes, tomatoes, corn, greens, squash, and herbs that will be used to feed our kids here at Crossroads for Youth. Please call
248-628-2561, ext. 250 or email tracey.zambeck@crossroadsforyouth.org if you can assist with the garden.
